I Love my Church

I love my church! It is strange to identify it as such. I used to call it my Ukrainian church. Now, it is simply my church. Truly it is home. I work with some of the best leaders. Not simply co-workers, we are friends. Moreover, they consider me theirs. It dawned on me after a baptism: I realized I was listed not as "missionary" but am considered one of them! To have this not only in words but in action and attitude, is a huge thing in a native land, but in an adoptive country, it is almost unfathomable. 7 years of  working with any church could be difficult, but I have always found it a joy, even in frustration. All that to say, it will be a sad thing to leave this place, but God's calling is clear. We will be moving to Mukachevo, in the Trans-Carpathian region of Western Ukraine. We plan on moving next summer. This year I will limit the amount of ministry I do as I prepare for this next step. But I plan on enjoying my time left at MY church.
