Living Water Update

It is getting cold in Ukraine. The wind is howling, and the rain keeps coming. A "warm" day is hardly barely 50 degrees. But I am from California, so until it hits freezing, I'm going to keep looking for ways to wear sandals. I suppose I will always have the beach in my blood.

Well, we have so much to be thankful for. We have the most wonderful little girl, we get to serve the Lord, and we have you, a church that loves and prays for us. We also have answers to a few prayers. After 9 months of wrestling with bureaucracy I finally received my permanent residency. I no longer need a visa, or need to run to the border every 90 days. I can now also work with the government in my own name when registering official documents for the ministry. Thankfully the next time I have to renew it is 12 years away.

And for those who hadn't heard, our Soviet-born automobile finally died. Yet, the Lord was so quick to respond with his blessing. He provided the funds for us to be able to purchase a 2 year old Chinese-made car, called a Geely. It has been a wonderful blessing. Also, unlike our last car, this one has rear seat belts, so we can actually strap the baby seat in place.

We also have a few things upcoming. On Friday, the 9th, we will be driving this car to Zakarpattia, the region where we will be moving come summer. While there we will be visiting a gypsy camp and we will  further explore our new mission field. Please pray as it is a 13 hour drive, and we want the trip to be fruitful. To that end, we will be visiting with several Calvary pastors on our way back, of course the nearest one is 4 hours from there. Which is one of the reasons we feel called to go.
